Former butchers' market, Dunster

In 1825 a new shambles or butchers' market was built east of High Street. It was not a success and after being used as a hall and reading room it was converted to two houses. However, the dated keystone of the entrance remains bearing the initials of John Fownes Luttrell although the arch has been filled in.
