The entrance lodges to Stanmer Park in the City of Brighton and Hove in about 1822

 

The two gate houses shown in the picture were built in 1777 when the Park was considerably extended. The first set were some distance inside the park as it is now, on the site of Old Lodge Clump which is clearly marked on estate maps.
