The whole of the parish of Ellisfield including cottages at Northgate and Ducks Alley, Coopers Farm house and cottages on common, Bury Down, cottage near High Wood and Ellisfield village.
The population for this period has stayed stable since 1871 at 246. In addition there are nine travellers listed in caravans. Manor, Merritts and a third farm totalling 492 acres employ 11 labourers but the majority of the male workers are agricultural workers, shepherds, carters, hoop makers, woodmen, thatchers and blacksmiths. Hill Farm house and College Farm house are occupied by a carter and bailiff respectively. Domestic servants are mostly employed by the Rector and Manor Farm. 13 people are receiving parish relief.
