Dunster's water supply

Water is not only vital for domestic purposes but supplied power for milling and fulling cloth as well as for washing wool and skins. Throughout the Middle Ages there was concern about the pollution of drinking supplies and sufficiency of water for industry. The surviving corn mill at Dunster is still water-powered.
