Alcombe Methodist Church

The Wesleyan chapel at Alcombe proved inadequate as Alcombe expanded rapidly as a suburb of Minehead in the later 19th and early 20th century. A new chapel, of brick faced with Portland stone, opened in 1931 on ground in Lower Meadow Road and had c. 70 members in the 1970s. It continues to flourish and had been extended several times.
