1891 Census

This comprised the whole of the extra parochial place of Andwell including Farm Mill and cottages together with a formerly detached part of Andwell situated at the junction of Five Lanes.
Owing to boundary changes, Andwell was left as a civil parish of only 148 a.(60 ha.) at this time. The population had fallen to just 13 living in cottages. Two of the three working men were blacksmiths, perhaps linked with the iron foundry in Hook. The mill and farm had been included in the Up Nately census. Thomas Hutton described himself there as a miller, farmer and watercress grower.
