1861 census

The whole of the parish of Steventon from the Andover turnpike road to the Warren Farm. In 1861 W. F. Digweed employed 22 labourers and nine boys. Cheesedown Farm comprised 198 acres, where five labourers and two boys were employed. In 1861 there were 22 carters in the parish, a considerable increase. The population fell to 167 in 1861.
