Will and Inventory of Richard Penton, yeoman 1668

Penton’s declaration of belief included the hope for free pardon and forgiveness of all his sins and he asked to be buried in the churchyard ‘near his mother and dear friends’. Property called Vises, Morroles and Francis Fisce’s house are mentioned in the will. Penton was a very prosperous farmer with 450 sheep and crops worth £200. His total inventory was valued at £371.
