Inventory of Richard Marritt/Merriott, clerk 1624

Marritt/Merriott was rector of Dummer from 1600 until his death in 1624. Only the inventory survives but it included maps, pictures, books, playing tables, comfortable chairs and furnishings, He farmed 40 acres of crops and kept cattle, pigs and poultry. His house had a parlour and study as well as a hall and kitchen and three upper chambers. His inventory totalled £260, considerably higher than others in this tranche.
