Will of Thomas White husbandman, 1617

White was a farmer who requested burial in Basing and left his estate to his children in varying amounts. One son received his cloak, was joint legatee and executor while another received 12d. and a daughter was given £5. The other legatee/executor was his son in law and he and his fellow executor were charged with the bringing up of the daughter of the other son. The inventory listed his monies due and owing, which more or less balance out at c.£13, so there must have been other goods, crops etc. to cover his bequests.
