Will and Inventory of William Wright, armourer, 1615

Wright left a simple will: he left 4d. to his parish chest and requested that he be buried in the churchyard. His wife was executrix and beneficiary, but he left 12d. to each of his four sons and four daughters to be paid six months after his death. The house was well-furnished but most of his wealth came from his crops and stock, there was no indication of his specialist skills in the inventory. One of his two overseers was his brother in law, and they both also receive 12d.  Total value £41 1s.
