Will and Inventory of John Bye/Bie 1602

Bye was clearly a pious man, with more than half the will being devoted to the religious introduction. The instructions in the will were brief; his estate was left to his wife and son, as joint executors to care for his other children and to share out his goods. The inventory described a large, well-appointed house with quality furniture and fittings, and he had a considerable quantity of livestock, worth £52, but with no mention of crops either stored or in the ground. Total value £81 7s. 4d.
