Will and Inventory of John Coxe, 1611

Coxe placed his hope of salvation in the death and passion of Jesus Christ, left small gifts to Winchester cathedral, Dummer church and the poor people there and asked to be buried close to his wife in the churchyard at Dummer. Bequests to his children and grand children were of sheep or household items. His inventory was valued at £25 11s. 2d. and included 26 sheep and 11 lambs, four pigs, two horses and poultry, with wheat and barley in the barn and four acres of wheat and vetches.
