Will and Inventory of William Weston, 1564

Weston was a widower and left his linen and household items to his six daughters together with sheep and cattle; 2d. to each of his godchildren and half a bushel of barley to be divided between the five children of his brother together with a ewe and sheep. He requested that those attending his funeral should have sufficient bread and drink. As well as animals, he owned a spinning wheel and woollen cloth, tools of husbandry and crops in 16 acres in the fields.
