Will and Inventory of John Grant/Grauntt 1557

Grant/Grauntt was a wealthy man with 320 sheep, 27 pigs, 26 cattle and five horses listed in his inventory which totalled £115 14s. 6d. He had 32 a. of wheat and considerable grain stored in the barns. He left instructions that his farm should be left to his wife with the guidance of another family member, but if she remarried she was to leave the farm equipment to his grandson.
