Inventory of William Mathew, victualler, 1669

Mathew was a victualler with goods amounting to £400 18s. 4d. He had malt, beer and cider in the cellar of his leased house. Furnaces and vats in the brewhouse and a small parcel of hops stored in a chamber suggest that he was supplying other inns in the area but it is also possible that his house was an inn.
