Collis family memorial

In the 1840s the Collis family lived at Upcott House. Charles Collis was wounded at Talavera and taken prisoner. Both father and son joined the same regiment and Hector was killedin January 1849. His father died a few months later. Emily and the youngest children moved into Netherclay House. It was presumably she who had the memorial erected in the church.
