Will and Inventory of Roger Mersant/Mersante, husbandman, 1563

Mersant/Mersante left the customary 2d. bequest to the cathedral. All his nine children received a specific bequest, varying between two ewe tegs, brass pans, sown crops and 10s. for one son when his wife could spare it. His wife was the main beneficiary. The stock and crops of a mixed farm, of particular interest as some place names are mentioned. Value £16 19s.
