Will and inventory of John Savage, 1557

Savage left a fairly brief will with religious observances which could be Protestant, and divided his estate between his wife and eldest son Thomas, joint executors. He made special bequests to his 4 daughters as dowries, and left a bullock and 4 sheep to two servants, with three other men receiving a sheep. The farm was a mixed farm, with equipment for cheese making listed, but also a good flock of sheep (80) and spread of crops. The local priest acted as witness.
