Will & Inventory of James Baldchild/Balchild, yeoman, 1695

Baldchild was a yeoman who lived in a substantial house which included a servants’ chamber. He had 177 acres, ten horses, two ploughs and nine harrows. His cattle consisted of 17 cows and five calves, 11 hogs, 7 pigs and 17 sheep. His substantial inventory amounted to £459.
