Will and Court Paper of Henry Leach, yeoman, 1604

Leach left money to the cathedral in Winchester, the church in Nately Scures and the poor there. He had land in Old Basing, leased from the Marquis of Winchester and Anthony Reding, which he left to his daughter as well as the rights and 80 sheep on the common fields of Basingstoke. Elinor must have been his second wife as he left a yoke of oxen and other animals to William Hall, her son. A court paper was administered which appears to have been raised as the will was not signed. The widow also queried where the deceased should be buried.
