Will and inventory of Robert Tilborow/Tilbury, 1668

Tilbury owned land and a tenement in St Mary Bourne (Hurstbourne Priors) but asked for it to be sold to pay his debts. His two leases in Farleigh Wallop of meadows called ‘Potters’ and ‘Millfield’ were leased for £60 a year and he was due a debt of c. £100 from his ‘master’ Henry Wallop. Reference is made to a ‘fellow servant’ so he appears to have worked for the Wallop family, presumably in a senior role. A looking glass in his inventory is a sign of gentility. His inventory was valued at over £350.
