Will of John Kent, gentleman, 1646

Kent’s will opens with a Protestant declaration of faith and a desire to be buried in the chancel of either Cliddesden or Farleigh Wallop church. He had a close relationship with the Wallop family and was a man of some substance with bonds of £2,015 due to him. He left £5 for the poor of the neighbouring parishes of Cliddesden and Ellisfield.
