Will and Inventory of William Beck/Becke, yeoman, 1681

Becke, father of William Becke (d.1676). His inventory valued at £310 10s. 6d. contains a good description of goods in a prosperous farming household of the time. There are numerous tables and chairs in the range of rooms in the house and refinements such as brass-headed dogs, a clock and books – signs of gentility.
