Will and inventory of John Lipscombe/Lypscum 1551

Lipscombe was a farmer, almost half of whose wealth was in his 130 sheep. He left the rental income from properties at Ropley and Wylde and some sheep to his wife Elyzabeth and 24 sheep to his son Robert provided that he continued to live with his mother in Upton Grey. He made further bequests, mostly of sheep, to members of the Willyams and Pollard families, with residue of his £22 estate to his son Robert, his sole executor.
