Will of Margaret Barwick, widow, 1701

Barwick lived in Basingstoke before moving to Newnham. In Basingstoke she had a large house where eight soldiers were quartered on her in 1688, during the Glorious Revolution, and stole from her. She wanted to be buried in St Michael’s Church in Basingstoke and she asked the vicar of Basingstoke to preach her funeral sermon.
