Will and inventory of John Hocklye, yeoman, 1619

Hocklye’s will is interesting in that he appears to have two ‘eldest sons’. His inventory indicates that the local farming was mixed with cattle and corn. He has one yoke of oxen probably for ploughing and one horse which was probably for riding. There is some confusion as to where one of his overseers, John Hallye/Halley lives. It is probably Winchfield as this is a nearby parish.
