Converted gas light standard in Minehead

This 19th-century lamp standard near the almshouses came from George Bower's gas equipment foundry in St Neot's in Huntingdonshire. The foundry supplied street lamps to towns throught Britain and overseas. The lamp post was converted to electricity in the 1900s.
