Inventory and account of administration of John Crosse, innkeeper, 1625

Cross ran an inn (probably the Bell) with seven main bedrooms. His goods which included silver plate, brass, pewter were valued at £163 but he also owed £129, leaving little net assets for his administrators to dispose of. The accounts declared by Joane, his widow, show that she has paid half of the debts but considered herself too old to deal with the whole task.
