Diaries of Robert Pearse junior, clothier, Launceston, Cornwall 1785 & 1790

July 1785
Transcription of the diaries of Robert Pearse junior, clothier, of Launceston. Transcribed by Dr Tony Wise.
These two pocket books offer a fascinating glimpse of life in and around Launceston in the late 18th century. As well as recording the financial details of his wool stapling business, Pearse also makes notes on his day to day life, such as business trips, nonconformist church services, local events and observations on the weather.
