Will of Roger Loker, gentleman, tenant of the manor farm at Andwell, 1629

Roger Loker was exceptionally wealthy with bequests totalling £2000 in his will of 1629. His son, John, had predeceased him in 1621 just after taking over the farm from his father. Roger Loker was one of the trustees for John’s daughter, Barbara, to whom Roger left £1500 in his will. He also left his wife, Elinor, £500 to dispose of personally.
