Will and inventory of Benjamin King, yeoman of Up Nately, 1628

Benjamin King's inventory with goods valued at £60 demonstrated the mixed nature of farming. His inventory of recorded sheep valued at £18, cattle at £12 and crops at £15.5.  In common with many other inventories, the corn grown in the common fields (wheat and barley) was valued separately from the corn (oats) grown in the closes. King had two acres of vetches and two acres of oats sown to thirds.
