Inventory of Edward Limming/Lymminge of Up Nately, 1626

Limming’s inventory was valued at £5 but he owed over £20 to creditors! He possessed very small amounts of foodstuffs such as garlic and onions 10d, 3 pots of beans, 3 pans of oats. Were they for personal consumption? Was he employed by someone?
