Up Nately and Andwell census 1861

Households were smaller than in 1851.  Priory Farm (280 a.), was the only Farm in Andwell, where Thomas Platt was described as employing eight agricultural labourers and two boys. By 1861 incomers from outside Hampshire had increased slightly to 10 per cent and from a slightly wider area of Oxfordshire (1), Surrey (5), Sussex (1) with Berkshire remaining at four and Wiltshire and Dublin at one incomer each.
