Inventory of James Martin, clothier, 1608

Martin’s inventory is fascinating with separate lofts for white wool, ‘mingling’ colours and stock carding. He produced broadloom cloth and kerseys. He appears to have been a master clothier putting out yarn for spinning and cloth for fulling.
