Inventory of John Smithe, 1596

Smithe was a member of this powerful local family but he had no arable crops. The inventory is illegible in places. He owned a horse and a pack saddle, rope products, 20 bushels of apples and 13 pieces of women's wearing linen clothes suggesting he was a pedlar or local salesman. There is a list of debts owing to him mainly from north Hampshire and Surrey.
