Inventory of John Justice (Justis), 1681

Justice was the tenant of a typical Corpus Christi Copyhold (CH 20), comprising a cottage and 8 a. The cottage became the village post office from c.1897-1975.The cottage was derelict by 1998 and has since been redeveloped into a modern house. This inventory revealed that it was a hall house with a 'lodging chamber', an 'inner chamber', an 'inner room', a buttery and a kitchen.
