Will and inventory of Nicholas Mathew, yeoman, 1646.

Nicholas Mathew was tenant of the Manor Farm, the chief Corpus Christi copyhold (no. 15), where meetings of the manorial court were held. Mathew also held Hooklands in Newnham from Corpus Christi and had a lease of land in Northington, Hampshire. He died possessed of a considerable sum (£196).
