Blocked East End of the Hawn

Formerly the river flowed out to sea here but now the shingle has been built up and a road built across it with car parking completely sealing the Hawn off from the sea. It is hard to imagine that a few centuries ago this was still a tidal pool accessible by small boats from the sea.
