Nettlecombe church, north chapel

In the 1530s the church was altered; the south chapel was turned into an aisle and another aisle was built on the north side c.1536. To the north of the north aisle beside the chancel a chapel was built under the terms of the will of John Trevelyan (d. 1521) who detailed its size and position. The chapel was dedicated to Our Lady and St George and was under construction by 1531.
