Memorial to William Achym

Sections from a dismantled tombchest to William Achym (1589) are attached to the south wall of the chancel. The tomb was in the Achym aisle, now the vestry. It is probably by Peter Crocker being similar in style to that of Margery Smith at Lansallos. It has been suggested that the distortion in the face indicates that Achym had sufered a stroke.
