Dulverton's police stations

In 1858 the county acquired two houses called Bastille and Carolina, which encroached into the road at the junction of Fore and High streets west of the White Hart. On the site was built a single storey police station consisting of a kitchen and two bedrooms adjoining the inn and a small square block of two cells, yard and toilet facing south-west down High Street.
