This is a transcript of the inventory of William Burford, husbandman, dated 8 november 1678, valued at only £6 8s 6d. By the time his widow Joan had paid all his debts and the court fees and produced her account on 19 February 1680 she had disbursed £9 0s 6d, leaving her £2 12s out of pocket.
