Will of Edmund Underwood, 1589

This is a transcript of the will of Edmund Underwood, dated 31 October 1589.

The testator does not give his status or occupation, but from the goods listed he was obviously involved in farming - he mentions corn, hay and cattle, and also 'working tools' including a hatchet and an axe.

His household goods are also described in detail, with the interesting information that he had bought a bed second-hand from Margery Bache and had bought a covering for it at Ledbury.
