Image of the will of James Rogge, 1545

This reads:
In the name of God Amen, 25th day of April, AD 1545, I James Rogge of the parish of Eastnor in the county of Hereford, being sick in body and of perfect remembrance, make this my testament and last will in manner and form following. First and above all things I bequeath my soul unto almighty God and my body to the Christian burial of Eastnor. Also I do give and bequeath the third part of all my goods and cattle unto my children, equally to be divided between them. The rest of all my goods not given neither bequeathed, my debts paid and my funeral discharged, I give unto Elizabeth my wife, whom I make my sole executor, she to dispose it even as God shall put it into her mind, for the wealth of my soul and of hers both. In witness witness [sic] whereof to this my last will I have put my seal the day and year above written. These being witness: Sir Christopher Wallwen, parson there, John Hoppeley, John Bache, with divers others.
