St Peter's Church, London Road, City of Brighton and Hove with unbuilt spire

This is an excellent piece of marketing based on a fine engraving by Charles Barry of the church as it would look with a spire. The tower was built but the church was already over its budget then and the parish refused to build the spire. Note the carefully fenced and landscaped grounds typical of this period.
