Spinners in Upton Grey
Spinners in Upton Grey has multi-period alterations.
It is a typical 3-bay, plus chimney bay, lobby-entry house of the early C17, and is the best-quality house (as built) that has been seen in Upton Grey, although even here there were some re-used timbers. There is evidence for brick infill panels (attested by hollow-sided studs and nice door lintel with ogee chamfer stops to stairs behind the stack) and a spine beam with ogee stops in the central room.
