Bishops' Chapel, Wells: east window

The chapel, dedicated to St Mark and the Holy Trinity, was built as a private chapel for Bishop Burnell and his household in the later 13th century. The windows are in the geometric or early Decorated style and are mainly filled with 19th-century glass although the west window, which was blocked in the early 19th century, was restored by Bishop Law and filled with his collection of medieval French glass. The chapel was refitted and furnished in the 20th century.
