Pillbox by Silk Mills bridge

This pillbox or two-storey sentry post was one of about seven used to guard the supply depot at Taunton. This one survived as it was overgrown at the side of the Silk Mills Road. It was probably intended to watch the railway line and the road which crossed by a level crossing immediately beside the post.
