Former Lovington inn

Lovington Inn, now Brue Farm, was built because of the importance of the Castle Cary road. It was probably established by 1738 but not named until 1788. It was held with a farm of 75 a. by 1838 which by 1871 had grown to 200 a. It ceased to be an inn in 1890 when its licence was transferred to an unnamed beershop on the same road.
